Was watching Terminator again now since i havent watched it in a long long time but after the second movie i started thinking about Matrix and how similar this movies really are, even so similar that you could almost say Matrix is a copy of Terminator.
The story is basicly the same, machines against humans in a future war.
In both movies they fight sorta the same way, in present. In terminator they send people to this time and fight and in matrix they send people in to a program (program based in our time) and fight.
In both movies their after the most dangerous guy, in terminator its John Connor as the leader of the humans and in matrix its Neo as the one who can change matrix.

So any ideas on this? Am i totally wrong?
Sry if something like this been up before, never seen a thread about it.

Ummmm no....

Terminator was dreamed up by James Cameron basically from the vision of a robot emerging from flames, the Matrix was tea leafed from manga.

The terminator nearly had Lance Henrikson as the baddy, woulda been different but i bet it still would have ruled

I just saw the island(crappy movie) but I was thinking something similar, se (might be small SPOILER!!)

In the island, people or clones are being harvested for they organs, and in the matrix the people are also in a "dream" world and being harvested like a battery.

Of course in the island there are no robots, the enemy is simply humans.

But i can see your point, dough i doubt that the wakawzki brothers(sp.?) directly copyed the idea from the terminator movies.

The island, The terminator and The matrix all have completely different concepts. I don't see why you think they're so similar.

@AM
ahhh the logic Smile well i can go with that, so i might say they DO have the same concepts, make an entertainment movie and cash-in Smile hows that for similarity?

Im not talking about concepts, endings or casting... the discussion here is about idea´s and how movie makers might have gotten inspiration from other movies.

Like I said, the matrix uses humans as batterys and in the island its humans organs... There is nothing more to it than that.

Now i didnt mean to be offtopic with the island and all, just notet that i thought the similar thing with those two movies. And this can really go on for evah, like the discussion of the matrix ~ religion theories.
