Watched this on the movie network an hour ago...I dont believe in the religious aspect of christ, but I do enjoy the story as imo, its like the first superhero story ya know?

Anyway, I dont know why i really liked this movie, but I suggest ya watch it if u get a chance...shows all the interesting things regarding jesus, miracles and stuff...but without all the boring shit. And its done in a very....I dunno, peaceful way...as oppose to other christ movies that are all dark and gloomy while trying to be...happy/bright?

And there is something about the guy who plays jesus...at first, he comes across as kinda fruity...but he really captivates u as the movie progresses

I recommend it - cant believe I am saying that still lol

Oh, and I suggest u bun a spliff...I fuckin stared at the screen for like an hour straight...and I usually dont focus for that long on the tv lol

hahaha no seriously, I dont like religiously themed movies, but man, i dunno, it something about the way its told i guess and it covers all the good points and interesting shit ya know and its...I dunno why I like it still lol Smile

And yeah, he was a superhero - think about...they didnt have the imagination of today's ppl to they could create some bawty bwoy in blue tights and a red cape or a guy dressed like a bat...they made a superhero in there terms. And since religion was the dominant force back then, its so easy to fathom how someone could make up a story like that.

Really, today's "christ" would prolly be some big name type of thing, cuz thats how u get ppl to believe nowadays...back then if enough ppl told the same stories, eventually it became truth...not to mention at the beginning of the movie, they say that The Gospel of St. John was written 2 centuries after the time of christ...personally, I think he was a Shaman or some kinda medicine man and understood medical science and the only way others could explain his mircales is by saying he was from god ya know?

Think about, u believe in christ, and I dont. Were both historians and such - we have the ability to write. Also, were both standing at the tomb of Lazarus (im sure ur all aware of this mircale right?). Now if I saw some bum lookin guy raise a man from the dead after for days of the man being dead, and I knew for a fact he was dead...I dont give a fuck what god i believe in, i'd write it down...atleast to say that some guy raised a man from death - but there is nothing outside of christian text that even references jesus. There were 24 lines of text written by a Pagan historian on some scroll which gave reference to jesus, but the vatican did an investigation and the historian ended up being discredited as he was paid by the church when he wrote the text, to include jesus. So those 24 lines are fake which means that the only account of jesus is in the bible - and u cant take it litterally or anything more than a book ya know?

But it is obvious that there was someone, sometime who was either a God or an extremely powerfull being...too many religions, pre-Christian, that have saviours that are all basically the same as christ, with a few variations here and there ya know. I think by general study of all the major religions and takin bits and pieces of of each god...Christ, Budda, Krishna, Mohammed, Allah etc would be a good way to go about finding out who this man really was...but as for any of the gods listed above, I think they are one in the same - there's a buncha more I can list but there is a good article called The Quest for The Historical Jesus Christ - if anyone wants the link, lemme know...its says what i say, but gives u links, facts and historical references so u can verify what is said.

Like I said, I think the story of jesus is very interesting and can teach alot of good lesson's and stuff. But when it comes to believing that there was an actual dude that was the Son of God....nope, impossible and not logical to believe at all...imo anyway

I think i got off topic a lil....oh well, my thread right Smile
