I've bought an XBox a while ago but never really did something with it. Now I'm thinking about modding it and getting busy with it...
Since I'm a n00b in the console compartment I have a few questions:
- what is the best chip for modding my XBox (in your opinion)?
- can I just purchase the chip and install it or is the chip without a BIOS and I have to find a BIOS for it too?
- are there any other thinks I have to consider/buy/have/think about to successfully mod my XBox?
Best chip : depends on you needs and depends if you are handy soldering or not.
You still need to find a bios for the chip, because most chips have no bios or a legal bios. The xecuter bios is not a legit one.
You just need to think of where to find all the stuff you need.
what I want to do with it is simply play games that I burned myself. Prefferably without using a startup disc first.
It would be nice if I don't have to solder myself, I could...but I'd rather not to...
Finding the BIOS myself shouldn't be a problem...I just wanted to know if I need to find one.
