pointless, it's clear that Bethesda were choosen because of their ability to put the games on consoles and display the game in a flashy 3D engine - that is the only reason they became Fallout 3 developers. Maximising profits...

Actually, I believe Troika had the winning bid right up until the last minute when Bethsoft came up with an unbeatable offer. WHy Bethsoft, 'fans' of the franchise as they claim to be, bought the license from under the creators' noses, just to screw with the setting and turn it into a console real time game, is beyond me. Keep signing the petitions and shouting on the forums.

Just because they bought the *rights* to make console games of the franchise as well doesn't mean they actually intend to...
And who said they actually will listen to the people on the forums? Their forums is mainly clogged down with fans for the elder scrolls series, this is another series, so they need to find the Fallout fans and listen to them.

Bethesda showed their ability to create a great RPG years before the next gen consoles came out. Besides, would all you naysayers rather have Fallout at Interplay's hands? At least Bethesda intends to give it a bright future, whereas with Interplay it would be turned into an MMORPG.

It still is being turned into an MMORPG, and Morrowind (et al) are not games that I rate at all - I can't be bothered dredging up the past but beyond the non-linerity they were not well built games that suit the style of Fallout.
As I've said my hopes for this turning into something either resembling the Fallout setting or my aspirations for the sequel are firmly rooted in neutral.
That comment above was in reference to the fact that this petition is pointless.

Interplay will not live long enough. Also, if the choice would come between an MMORPG and SP RPG, I'll take the latter.
