Well, I am thinkin about buyin a news server access since me internet provider have blocked all p2p traffic. using somethin called a packet shaper by a damn company know as Packeteer...well, here's the link if ye want more information on this God forsaken product.
URL: http://www.packeteer.com/prod-sol/products/packetshaper.cfm
I've tried every way that I could think of bypassin(sockx, httptunnel) it but with no luck, however if ye can help me crackin this bastard (excuse me language) open please do so.
Ohh..well, if not ye may at least tell me which news server to pick.
I've two which clams to be pretty good ones. I've also gotten some information from 'easynews.com' from their helpdesk(chat).
However, if there is another good one do share.
Well, I guess that's about it...ohh..yeah by the way I am from Denmark(Europe) and got a 10Mbit soon(in about a year or so) to be a 100Mbit internet connection. So, I do want the best, the fastest and so on...
thank ye for listening or rather reading either way....thanx

Giganews all the way.
They have almost 100% completion, 50 day retention and they've recently started offering an unlimited package for $20 a month. They also provide excellent customer support and whenever I've had a problem it's been fixed within a few hours.
They also provide a european server. You can test the speed from the servers on their website with their speed test thing.
The only down side is the limit the amount of connections you can have with an unlimited account. This isn't a problem for me but since you have a fast connection it might be a problem.
Easynews is far too expensive at $10 for 10 gigs.

Retention is how long files lasts on the server before they're purged.

Guess...Giganews.com doesn't have a webinterface. Does that make it harder for the first time newsgroup user?

Yeah, you'll probably never use a web interface anyway. But it's nice to have the option, for various reasons.
