ok. lets saty i have an image - Clone image (of a game).
the image is protected with somekind of protection that u can emulate using deamon tools.

my question is : if its possible to emulate it... then i can also burn it ????

p.s : i have the latest Alcohol 120%.

My System:
CPU : AMD "Barton" 2500+.
Memory : 768MB DDR PC2100.
GFX : Nvidia 6600GT DDR3 128MB , AGPx8
M\B: Gigabyte GA-7VT600P-RZ MotherBoard
Sound: AC97 Realteck 5.1 ALC655 - Audio.

Why not just burn the actual file onto a disk and mount it from there using Daemon Tools or Alchohol.

Just clarifying Jenni;
i guess what she means is; burn your bin/cue or iso file as a normal data-cd. When done, insert cd; you'll see your bin/cue or iso file and just mount from cd.

But in answer to your question. I don't think it's possible to burn a game with eg.laser-lock. You can burn it, insert it, activate de emulation on d-tools/alcohol and play (you still need d-tools/alcohol). Not really sure though.....

Hope it helps.

Im not really sure because i don't do cloning and as i read my reply now, i must say that i wasn't really sober at that time.... i guess i should have kept my mouth shut... because im not an expert. I guess some of protections need emulation but i don't know which ones. (as i said: i should have kept my mouth shut)

Well here is a how I manage to copy Unreal Tournament 2004 (I got the original so sue me Epic!)

My Computer - DVD Rom - Mark all files - Copy - Harddrive - Catalog - Paste

Open Nero - Choose files - Burn

Okey the autorun won't always start but the game it self works flawless aspecially with the latest patch that doesn't require the CD to be in the drive. So maybe that works for Battlefield 2 also Razz

Here is how it works:
Any cloned game still has the copyprotection somewhat intact. That means that most cheap burners won't be able to burn a correct backup disc from the clone image. Why? Because they can't write the sectors in the correct way. In the past this was not that much of a problem as many burners could burn several protections. Today the problem is that one burner might be able to produce good copies of SecuROM but won't be able to handle Safedisc and so on.

UT2004 will probably don't work that way with the original install (no patching) as the copyprotection will find out that he CD is not correct (when it comes to sectors) and therefore not launch. The patch gets rid of the CD-check so thats no problem.

Battlefield 2 DVD version requires you to have a DVD-burner that can burn SecuROM v7 properly. I am not aware if there is one yet, but there might be.

I used to do clones and burn them and so on. But I found it a lengthy process and with too many factors that could fuck it up. So instead of burning backups I mostly use cracks or mini-images nowadays.

Hope you got some info atleast from that.
