**Problem: My computer locks up or freezes when attempting to
install the game.

**Solution: Please close all running programs, especially anti
virus software, before attempting to install the game. If this
does not work, please follow these steps:

-Open up My Computer and right click on your CDROM.
-When the menu comes up, choose EXPLORE.
-When Explorer opens, choose SELECT ALL from the EDIT menu.
-Now select COPY from the EDIT menu.
-Find somewhere on your computer (like you desktop), right click
and select PASTE. This will copy the files to your hard drive,
and will take some time to complete.
-When the process is finished, double click on SETUP.EXE (the
copy now on your hard drive) to install the game. This will
completely eliminate the CDROM from the installation routine.

To start off with it seemed alright, no fancy water splashes but the terrain didnt look too bad and the "flames" seemed ok too. I've done 3 missions at the moment and its pretty short and boring. It's far too linear and you have no free moment at all. the squad controls are simply F1 for the engage / cease fire and F2 to proceed / hold position. neither of which is needed because enemies are very easy to kill and come in bunches of three. The guns arent very good to handle and neither is the movment. leaning feels as though it needs to reach out about 4 more feet to be effective and jumping is pathetic. I dont think i'll carry on with this game its not even worth the measly 600mb download. This game doesnt come with a crack either which is prolly why a nogrp released it.

Another quality Groove Games production - always remember the "hype" around Devastation with its at-the-time new Unreal engine - "Next-generation Unreal® Engine coupled with the MathEngine Karma™ physics system provides dramatic visuals, ultra-realistic object physics, rag-doll deaths, and user-friendly mod tools" - http://games.moddb.com/52/ Trouble was gameplay stank & it was real boring after an hour Smile
