Most of the games run fine, but high settings tend to give me to low of a framerate to be playable. And most of the time I can forget about AA.

My system:

P4 2.8Mhz
Radeon 9800Pro
2GB DDR Ram

Which graphic card would give me the biggest bang for the buck? Should I be upgrading my processor too?

I think you should wait for the Geforce 7-series Smile
9800 is still mid-end or slightly more

i wouldn't wait to update an AGP card, either now or never. If you wait for half a year and buy an AGP card you can also update the board cpu (to PCIe of course), otherwise the system including the new agp will be out of date quickly

PCI-E is just another slot type for the card, which allows for much faster data transfers to and from the video card. Not that you'd notice a speed difference between a PCI-E and AGP version of the same card, at least not for a while Surprised

If you insist on updating right now, get a GF6600 GT or a Radeon X800 XL if you're a little more loaded. Both cards offer the best value currently possible.
