I know this is the protection forum, but maybe you guys know a little more...

I'm trying to edit the iso image of GTA:san andreas, released by Hoodlum.

I have this pet peeve in which I don't like group tags in my iso images. so I changed the /HOODLUM folder to /Crack. I also deleted their cracktro and nfo file.

I am doing all this iso editing in UltraISO.

However, when I'm done editing, Windows sees 2 different timestamps; the edited iso image is 6-7 hours ahead. But UltraISO still sees the same time stamp.

See what I mean with the following images:

Here is the original hoodlum iso image:

Here is the edited iso image. Shows same dates:

They both look the same.

But when you mount both images in Windows, you see these:

Original hoodlum iso mounted:

Edited image mounted:

The dates are off by 6-7 hours. Why does this occur in this iso? When i edit other bin/cue images, it still keeps the timestamps intact.

this one is buggin me.

Maybe you shouldnt be such a cockfag in removing group tags from the cracks they did, and maybe you shouldnt post topics about fucking pointless timestamps.

are you guys 12 years old? you flamers are such faggots.

It's MY dvdr, and i can burn shit to it any way i want to. and if that means renaming a folder, that's MY choice.

I'm not selling shit.

I also remove group tags on mp3s and rename the id3 the way i like them, but i don't sell them.

stick to the topic, or fuck off.

Dontgiveafuck, it looks like you really don't give a fuck about the hard work of scene.

But there is someone smarter than you on the scene. Take a look on Xpand Rally by ULTiMA and try to remove their tags or change something Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

I guess you'll have to sell Xpand and Colin with evident ULTiMA presence there Crying or Very sad

Why is it so special? Can't you change the name of crack and remove specific files?

They changed EVERYTHING. Before installation, during installation, after installation, before running the game and during playing the game. I've no idea how ULTiMA did it (graphics, code, installer, music, in-game changes etc).

yeah the installer and the start of the games are littered with flash screens/images from forums of people saying that Starforce wouldn't be cracked/the codemasters logo has been replaced with Ultima everytime you start the game plus the starforce installer has been edited it tells you what the serial number that you have to enter is!!!! and mocks Starforce

I guess you could edit all that shit ou but it would take an age. Surprised

edit.....rap3r beat me to it. Very Happy

i can't believe how many of you are talking about selling games.

When someone edits an iso, the first thing you think is "he's selling it". it's like you all do it. You must be little high school kids trying to earn some lunch money. i wouldn't even think about selling. I don't need to, because i have a JOB. Do you?
I play games for my own leisure. and I like to archive clean copies.

I like the old way that groups did it, like Fairlight.... with just a /crack folder with a crack in it. Not some group tag and a fucking cracktro. Keep it clean.

You see how mp3 groups are tagging their releases? right. they AREN'T tagging them. they're keeping it clean now. and that's the way I like it.

So some of you hypocrites can fuck off about the selling thing and RESPECT the game developers by buying these games and not downloading them. Until you pirate NO games at all, fuck off with the hypocrisy.
Pfttt. ..... respecting crackers..... hah. I respect the warez groups, but that doesn't mean I have to leave a folder tagged with their name on it.
Why don't you go to t-shirthell and buy a t-shirt that says "I love Hoodlum." How much respect do you have?

oh, and btw, if I were selling games, as some of you hypocrites are, my edited iso would be perfectly fine. As you can see, the folder is renamed, and the game works.

If youre capable of doing RIP games then you can remove all that ..is not so difficult..

but ontopic it I think its a bit retarded to delete NFO and Intro how the fuck can that bother someone..it shows that he doesn''t have any respect for the hard work of the cracker.. so MR Don'tgiveafuck he should also remove the cracked exe if he would like an "clean iso" so much..or buy the damn game.

I'm not talking about jpg files. I'm talking about in-game changes (run the game and watch its credits) and installer. I tried myself to view the installer but it seems everything is packed inside msi installer. You can't swap or change their pictures showed during installation. I couldn't also find in-game text they put (I searched the installer and game after installation too).

if you create an rip game from it then theire installer+ultima screens are gone then only you have to change the splash screen when you start the game exe wich is I think not so hard to do cause theire splash screen just show some external jpg files. when I had the game installed I didn't checked the game credits so dunno about that.

That might be correct. But he still would have to deal with in-game changes and they require really detailed knowledge I guess. Crackers could do it but not warez boys.

dontgiveafuck: I take it your version of UltraIso is up to date? I had 2 images fucked up because mine was too old it seems. Updated it and now everything is working fine. That might help with your problem. Also, I presume you already know this, but if you open an image, then click on File -> Properties, click on the Date/Time tab, there's a checkbox to keep the original date and time. Other than that I have no idea what's causing your problem.
