Embrace the role of an Inquisitor in the grim darkness of the far future in a cRPG set in the rich Warhammer 40,000 universe. Start your service as an acolyte of the Inquisition: Investigate heresy, command a diverse warband, and shape the fate of the Calixis Sector in a story-rich experience where every decision has weight, justice is non-existent, and the line between salvation and damnation is razor-thin. Explore an in-depth depiction of the Inquisition as an organisation and the vast force it commands: its power, bureaucracy, and inner conflicts laid bare like never before.
As an Inquisitor, you have one primary goal: to protect the Imperium, whether that be from the taint of xenos, the betrayal of heretics, or the scourge of mutants, by any means necessary. Be the conduit of the Emperor’s will in a place where all hope was lost decades ago, explore the mysteries of the maddening Tyrant Star, and overcome the worst horrors thrown at you by the Noctis Aeterna.
I'm always interested when I read Owlcat cRPG, these guys are great at what they do. They especially did a remarkable job with Rogue Trader both gameplay and writing/atmosphere-wise, though I had to halt my playthrough since there's still a lot of content planned for that game and it would be a shame to miss it, in typical Patient Bear Deluxe fashion

My view exactly. Since there are 2 more story DLCs planned for RT, I will wait them out, and then do another (this time complete) walkthrough.
Nice. I hope they make the locations a bit better with this one, more people to talk to and so on. The only thing I missed going from Pathfinder to their 40k games.
never been a big deal to me, i read faster than they can say their line. i always liked how the OG BG games did it tbh. Mostly read the dialogue but key lines are voiced. Gave them more impact.
Anyway, i guess i missed Rogue Trader even coming out of early access.. whups.
id love a warhammer game where i can be the emperor and do empire management , the space game but then also with planets and recource managemnt n random events stellaris style

Voice acting in RPG's is indeed overrated and even damaging to the experience.
If i read i do not want to hear someone talking over the reading, that will make reading more difficult since obviously i do not read in the same super slow pace as someone would talk. The old BG games did this 100% right, you get the tone, the rest you can read in your head and with that voice.
People are idiots to demand VA, must be 10 year olds or people who dont read books so they read super slow.

I don't know man - Everquest 2 was FULLY voiced, and it's the only MMO from that many years ago that I actually remember the story/quests to.
It can definitely add to the experience (doubly so if it's done well), but destroys it if they just get shitty VO artists to phone it in. I'd rather have it than not, to be honest, especially where RPGs are concerned and story is the focus.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

story heavy ones are an especial slog if voice acted, it takes what, 2x as long if im gonna wait for them to speak. again, dont mind at all if they speak initially and then the player can read the rest.
voices acting can absolutely make sense sometimes though, let's say another character speaking while you at the same time is running somewhere, so it wont be something that in any way will make it take longer.
It also costs a lot more to add various choices/consequences and branches if you have to voice act everything. And that generally leads to less of all of them.
