Rediscover the clockpunk universe of Benoît Sokal in this fully remastered version of the first Syberia game. Join Kate Walker and Oscar, a strange and charming automaton, in pursuit of the brilliant inventor Hans Voralberg, and embark on an adventure more immersive and poetic than ever.
Hopefully it's a competent attempt and part II will be released as well, the games are special and uniquely mesmerizing (unlike their sequels). Cyan also took this route with Myst and Riven after their latest game flopped, but alas the company overestimated the attractivity of such formulae to modern audiences and nearly went bankrupt in the process.
So, this is it, the end. No talented developers left just those who remaster the master. Well, at least we/the GenX played the masters back then with joy.
Why link this ad ridden AI voiced slop with absolutely no value? Surely there's a better video out there.

Looking at the comparison i think the overall tone and vibe is a bit better in the old version, the later is more grey/dreary and dull, but overall its not too bad and its not for all scenes.
of course it was prerendered, hence the " " all adventure games back then had pre rendered backgrounds. rendering a single raytraced frame took a lifetime back then but made the visuals stand the test of time. All they need these days is proper resolution upscaling with a human touch to keep it faithful to the original. This looks like generic Unreal engine now.
I can't wait. This is my fav adventure game of all time.
It's perfect.
Remaster is still a bit sus. Seems a bit barebones in all their footage to hit november.
