Boy do they rush the plot. Last episode was shit in terms of writing, tho.

Aw man I am just about to start the last episode, so it's sad to hear that. However all said it's still been a fun watch and I would recommend the show.
I will write this: it was a real decline in writing and I was really enjoying it till this episode. The most cringe part was when the main protagonist was sharpening his knive on a whetstone. Not even once, not even look it up on YT. From this moment on I knew this episode is on a slippery slope.

first ep was ok untill the last 5 mins ... suuure lets waste space on gardens and fake ducks and wooden two bedroom houses .... GTFO .... only a dumb american would think thats believable
if they gonna show me that place a few more times doubt ill continue watching
good show, has its ups and downs, some really great moments, great score, a nice hook, some nice twists, but plot felt a bit rushed, still looking forward to the next season
It was the only GOOD episode so far. First episode was goodish, certainly good enough to give the show a chance. The rest were pretty meh. But episode 7, "The Day" was really good.
Writing sadly is uneven. Some of the writers are simply not up to par.
I’m really hoping season 2 has more consistency; there is so much potential. That said, I don’t see how S2 can / will be anything but extremely different to S1.
I really cant see how they can get enough material to top "competent ep1 / ep7 government" vibes now that the twist is resolved.
If anything, they've set up some of the most boring narratives possible
- Presidents kid becomes a politician and rallies people/starts a revolution with the help of the daughter + romance
- Agent Psycho goes psycho (could be fun)
- Bodyguard man goes survival mode, has a few encounters & fights, almost dies, get's saved by good people lead by the wife
- Bodyguard man leads good survivor people back to the shelter where psycho woman + crazy lady are fighting the kids revolution
- Obligatory evil bad Negan-type survivor leader who wants to take over the bunker
- Must join forces to live
Not much faith, but maybe a few episodes of high caliber

The president sets off EMP and says it will set back humanity 500 years into the past. Yet the ham radio outside the Paradise works. Planes work too.

the writing of the whole season was uneven but it made up with the twists, the first ep was so uninteresting until that big reveal...all that stuff was great and that ep 7 really good but then the other stuff kinda meh and now they seem to be headed to a generic s2 plot but im hoping im wrong, nonetheless still a good show that came out of nowhere
