Underrail is an old school turn-based isometric indie role playing game that focuses on exploration and combat. It's inspired by western RPG classics such as Fallout, Arcanum, Neverwinter Nights and System Shock 2.

Story:
The game is set in a distant future, when the life on the Earth’s surface has long since been made impossible and the remnants of humanity now dwell in the Underrail, a vast system of metro station-states that, it seems, are the last bastions of a fading race.
The player takes control of one of the denizens of such a station-state whose life is about to become all that much more interesting and dangerous, as our protagonist is caught amidst the conflicting factions of the Underrail as they secretly but violently struggle for the Humanity’s last gem of hope.

Features:
- Great character customization possibilities through stats, skills, feats, items and more that allows for many different play-styles
- Tactical turn based combat that utilizes weapons, energy shields, grenades, psi abilities and more
- Vast underground world to explore: city states, abandoned building complexes, natural caverns, secret areas and more
- Elaborate item crafting system

Me too. But I wasn't able to found it, so I've decided to make a new thread.
The project deserves some attention.

Also wanted to turn your attention to this, but was to lazy to do a proper fiirst post Very Happy

It's probably the first Fallout inspired indie game that made it to demo stage Smile
And it's quite good, lots of stats. Too bad the UI gets a bit small at higher resolutions.

The phosphorous lights that keep flickering on and off. He once said he'd get around to fixing that, since the original testers complained about it, but I guess he hasn't done it yet.

It's now as a bonus (PC download+Desura code) in Build a Greenlight Bundle for a min of $1.5

http://groupees.com/bagb

BUY it. It's the first game in ages that captures the Fallout feel. I bought it for 10USD and I'm not even mad Wink. You get the alpha version (not demo, there's a larger alpha for buyers) +all versions between alpha and release AND of course the released version.

If you want to pay more go to:
http://underrail.com/

and buy it there. It's using Desura's Alpha Funding model. He said he'll finish the game regardless of sales, but it will help him put more stuff in it pre-launch.

It's an Alpha. Of course it's not complete. You can try it or the dev wouldn't have released it. But it's missing features.

It's a game made by one guy and a programmer at that. He freely admits his art is not the greatest, but it does the job.
This is most probably version 0.1.8.0. I've been playing the alphas from 0.1.4.0 and it's great. You'll get 5 up to 10 hours of gameplay and probably a bit more when 0.1.9.0 gets released.

Is there a more price release date of the Steam version than "Second half of 2013" ?

Also is it possible to buy it cheaper than the ~ €8.00 on GG/Desura?
