Haha yeah, the two franchises have been copying each other to the point of almost total assimilation into one single teabagging entity, with a precise target audience in mind: the Church of the Doody.
Fortunately, we do have the indie industry that's capable of producing honest and authentic historical/modern first-person shooters, although they often have to wrestle with severe budget constraints, Earlyaccessitis, over ambitiousness and whatnot. Still, there have been quite a few success stories over the recent years.
Things are different for all the folks who prefer single-player experiences though, those ones are destined to oblivion  |
