you could say the same about everything, still people play games like powerwash simulator, or track down 100 stones for 10 hours to get an achievement, or drive the same track over and over for days just to get the perfect time.
this game had a lot of problems, it's way too long, the story sucked ass, but it also did many things right. the gameplay itself was great, the atmosphere was awesome and it was just fun to walk around the world.
people always complain that there is nothing new and everything feels the same, but if there is something new, it will not even have a chance because of funny dhl memes or because it's from one guy which i don't like.

In the end all games are tedious and require you to do the same thing over and over again.
The game is like nothing else. Immersive, good story. And it's not to long to become tedious.
But i can imagine that it's not your thing if you want an action focused game.
Looking forward for the sequal anyway, although my guess is it will be a different type of game, I don't think the hauling part of the game will return.
Reminding here too that Death Stranding is free today on the Epic Games Store

What i dont get is that kojma in his interview says that the line between movies and videogames will be blurred.
Wtf wasnt the beginning of metal gear solid 5 2hours of cutscenes/story exposition before you could even properly play the game. (not sayin that mgs 5 wasnt fun)
