Not a lot of info about this movie yet. It IS a direct sequel to the original Cloverfield and filming apparently started in late 2022. Let's hope it's a lot better than The Cloverfield Paradox.

In terms of producers, Bryan Burk, Matt Reeves (who directed the first movie), and Drew Goddard are all signed on to the project as executive producers. |

they're only called Cloverfield because the first one was a hit and they were too lazy to make a proper sequel, they just wanted to cash in.

I think Cloverfield Paradox has .5 seconds of a Ctulu on earth in the last frame, member the first Cloverfield had a dinosaur in the city!? and the second one had aliens. The studio just uses the name because they think there customers are stupid and that by knowing the name they will then just go see the new dinosaur movie - that's actually not a dinosaur movie in this case.

Well, Cloverfield 2 ("4") will thankfully drop the found footage format.
