In Dark Matter, the crew of a derelict spaceship is awakened from stasis with no memories of who they are or how they got on board. Facing threats at every turn, they have to work together to survive a voyage charged with vengeance, betrayal and hidden secrets.

Syfy... by the 4th epi you'll have ninja robotic assassins from outer space with a lump.
So yeah, no... I won't touch it until there's two seasons and high praise.

After BSG and Defiance SF can be trusted. With caution

This is 90's style shit.
Watched the first 2 eps, like it so far but that is one of the shows that might get cancelled.
Looks like its made by some of the people that did Stargate (Mallozzi, Mullie), well the writing is similar but the budget is lower. (looks like it went to Defiance, 3rd season got a bump in production value)
We have the silent asian martian artist, the girl with secrets, the jackass who is always joking, the smart boss chick, the tank, the good guy, the female Android.
And they all act so unselfish and get along well almost immediately - yep thats clearly the 90's. Have to admit I missed that a bit.
Filmed in factory halls and ship interior design props that look like discarded stuff from Stargate Universe. Expect lots of canadian woods next.

Watched the fist couple of episodes and I liked it. Its not great, but the twist at the end of the first episode was unexpected. It has a Firefly meets...some other TV show set in space vibe which I dig. Also female leads are not bad to look at
if it costs more then 50p an episode to make sci-fi is likley to cancel it.
if its cheaper it will ru .. see haven for example

I saw things like that in here and in other "woman problems" topics so...... Am I the only one that thinks some authorities needs to be alerted about Saner and him possibly being a rapist and/or kidnapper ?
Saner is not being serious. Unless its the subject of Santa!
The idea is intriguing, but the execution is generic at best and borderline cringeworthy at worst. For example, we have an Asian on board, so obviously, he needs to be a Kung-Fu ninja. And he needs a katana. No, wait, he needs two
I'm enjoying this show, as well as Killjoys. Music's great in this one to boot! I'm sure they'll both be cancelled.

Tbh the setting is like SGU, but the humor and overall the characters and vibe, are very SG1 early days.. im enjoying it, im a huge sg1 fan and even i admit it was never brilliant, it was good for what it was, entertainment, brilliant was battlestar galaticta, but this will sufice my stargate needs.
SG-1 is one of my all time favourite series. If the humor is like in SG-1, then it's absolutely worth trying! But i'm sure it's going to turn into something like that shit show Helix.
Well episode 4 was actually not bad, maybe it will get more interesting from here on out, 2 was just really bad indeed
Shame the production quality is quite low
Why cancel SGU when it started to pick up, but air this kind of quality?

Yep, the last episode wasn't bad. But I can't agree it has humor on par with SG-1. First of all it doesn't have grumpy (and thin) Richard Dean Anderson. And SG-1 had chemistry between characters which this lacks, due to the setting of course.
The humor is there but it's hit and miss, sometimes they can't pull it like in the doctor's waiting room (it had potential but fell flat) or the actors can't act it out like when the dudes were tied together and tazed themselves.

Its quite a struggle to watch this i think. Every time i see this so called cyborg i really wanna punch her in the face, i just can't stand the way she looks and stands there like a giant turd while making the worst facial expressions.
