If steam wont run, how do i download/run the old games on a retro pc Confused



this dude spent like hours and couldnt get it to work

is steam really saying fuck u to retro gaming just like that ?

i have a 100 days left for steam to work on my win7 grrrrr Evil or Very Mad

- "hl2.exe" for Half-Life 2
- "hl2.exe -game episodic" for Episode One
- "hl2.exe -game ep2" for Episode Two
- "hl2.exe -game lostcoast" for Lost Coast
- "hl2.exe -game hl1" for Source
in Command Prompt (without quotes)
Linux: Run
- "./hl2.sh" for Half-Life 2
- "./hl2.sh -game episodic" for Episode One
- "./hl2.sh -game ep2" for Episode Two
- "./hl2.sh -game lostcoast" for Lost Coast
- "./hl2.sh -game hl1" for Source
in Terminal (without quotes)


But i still need to download the game somehow grrrrr so download on another pc , copy over, and hope for the best, thats just trash
