EU is very strict with regulations, the few chinese products that make it have to meet their standards. If you want the true chinese "experience" look at Temu, Wish etc. Really cheap, really short lived and potentially dangerous.
We had quite a few house fires here due to cheap chinese phone chargers, so those regulations are very very much warranted.
I'm sure they check a few samples through one of their experts. They may not check them all but if one fails or causes an incident due to cheating the company is gonna get gaped.
Buying anything more complex than a deck of cards from China?

I can only assume you live in a bare house with no light bulbs, electronics, and only thing in your kitchen is a old coil style stove and range and no plug in appliances then?
(99% of them have chips/IC/whatever made in china in them along with TONS of other electronic parts it is comprised of)
