So, I'm waking up, checking my phone some time later, and a little magic wand icon appears. Tells me (in French) the equivalent of: "let's finish the setup". I have this (Samsung) phone for 8 months now, but sure, let's "finish the setup". Some screen pops up, two options: fuck off & next Fuck off lasted for literaly 1 min before it popped again. So I go "next"'. A screen full of little app icons flashes then, without any input on my part, goes "yeah, thanks, all good! We're now gonna proceed to download 8 random app. Enjoy!" Rancid fucking shits I had to wait to see appear on the screen to immediatly uninstall. WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS? NO CONSENT ON MY PART! Is this what Android is gonna be? Is there anything I can do to protect myself against such intrusion from "offical updates" that are just fucking trash flung my way? I had something similar in June. It was some Samsung app update and afterwards it "suggested" a ton of useless apps that I was supposed to install. However it was possible to uncheck them all. These App companies are swimming in billions and paying Samsung for advertising their crap. It is really annoying. I have to say smartphones are a disaster. A privacy disaster. Constant updates - 10 app updates every day even though I don't have that many apps installed. And an AD bombardment disaster. And Games are all Pay2Win crap. And last but not least they flooded the internet with normies and females.
