Well I don't need utub to tell me how bad large budget movies are. However I figure it helps persuade their viewers that let influencers think for them pass on the next shitty cash in franchise movie, maybe just maybe the sales will start to lower (haha unlikely).
We've basically lost 2 decades of budget and opportunities to discover the next Ridley, Spielburger, Nolan.. and Hollywood screenwriting is so piss poor I'm almost not interested in anything unless it's an adaptation from a real author (and looking at Netflix Witcher, even that can't save it).
It's just like games, stop watching/playing garbage and support teams and games that do take a gamble, innovate and create original content.
Oh and AI is only going to make people lazier and the content even more homogenous.

AI will be of great use for many independent movies and games. New genres will spawn from it for sure. Yes for every new tech we do lose something in the long run, same with 3D/CGI, though we also dont really want to be without it because we do sometimes get that incredible stuff too.
But yeah i watched it too, first i saw Crip Daddy on Jontron Show then like minutes after Drinker on Russel Brand. Very happy that "based" or conservatives (i don't care what politics they have tbh, its their takes i enjoy) gets on some good shows that aren't the typical conservative ones..

Russell Brand I used to like listening to on the radio in the mid 2000s, but after losing Matt and being left to his own devices, he's just become another grifter. His youtube videos used to be much more balanced and nuanced takes, until he accidentally stumbled into the lucrative market of milking contrarian conspiracy idiots. He's not even pretending to be balanced anymore, and will basically just take the contrarian position, say he's just asking questions and for people to think outside the box while he's saying vaccines are evil or is busy sucking putin's cock.

What's there to pretend about? You're saying the movies or the stuff they ""rage about"" is good?
There's a lot of people that doesn't like current day Hollywood movies, or what's going on in the industry in general. That's why they've grown big, people are sick of going to MSM and hearing excuses or hearing them defend woke garbage.
Does it mean it's always interesting, hell no. Most of what they're saying is just very obvious common sense stuff. I think people listen to them and participate in the discussion for comfort and for memes/mockery - to joke about this instead of just being angry, and to feel that there's still some sanity left in the world.

Parents (or anyone else for that matter) can't have an opinion of what kind of garbage is targeted towards kids?
Typical leftist ""argument"", because they want all kids to be theirs to expose to their ideas about sex, politics etc. Parents shouldn't have a say. Disney hasn't exactly been hiding it. US has been lucky to have DeSantis, who's gone after them and had some nice wins.
It's sad times when someone saying "Leave kids alone" can get cancelled over it, or that movies like Sound of Freedom gets hit piece after hit piece written because it's about child trafficking. I saw Bloomberg hired a MAP (minor attracted people) spokesperson to write for them. At the same time every leftist out there praised the (pedo) movie Cuties. Fucking disgusting.
Trying to silent people speaking out about it isn't gonna work, this is exactly why we need people like Critical Drinker and other conservatives daring to question these things because you're not gonna see it in MSM or from someone like Grace Randolph, they're just gonna defend it.

I can take him or leave him but he does take the piss out of his own movies during the interview although me and the misses enjoyed forgetting Sarah Marshall.
I think the interview as a decent point especially about going to the movies to see your favorite action hero as I did when I was younger in the 90s. Those film stars don't really exist anymore , maybe it's not in line with toxic masculinity narrative who knows. And like they said they've had some tough female action heroes in the past as lead characters without making a big deal of it , now they cast diversity for diversity sake and it turns people off
