So ive recently started getting more tattoos and this time im going for gaming stuff. So far ive done a Monkey Island one (which still need to add more stuff) and yesterday a Day of the tentacle one.
Does anyone know where i can find cool pictures from old computergames made by artists? I can go for old game covers and ingame shit - but im pretty sure there are people out there who are doing kickass drawings/cgi with old retrogameing stuff
Any ideas?
shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.

Iād look at DeviantArt and Tumblr. Still a lot of material there, certainly from older times.

There used to be this thread on NeoGAF for game art, it was the best resource I'd ever found. Everything was very high res and there was a tonne of stuff I'd never seen before (or seen since). But it got nuked for some reason. I loved browsing that thread.

Yeah, unfortunatly most seem to be gone, however - i did find some inspiration/gems among the ones still left! Gonna take a closer look later on today and see what i can find.

I myself would google image search what I am looking for and either find it there, or find what I am looking for out of the results and see what sites/threads/subreddits/DeviantArt it leads to.
Even pintrest can be a source. Just ignore the actual pinterest pages, and look at the 'related to' images it provides under it and go directly to the pages those images are on (skipping the pinterest fluff all together).
I do that for my tabletop game to find city, forest, whatever maps. NPC images of a specific look I am going for, landscape art of a particular type and so on.
Also for my AI art stuff to get ideas and/or base images to change based on what starting concept I am going for.
