Definitely not a movie for kids but you can take them if you want to explain to your kids what vagina, penis, beating off and patriarchy is.
The movie and Greta think that they are trying to tell a smart story about male stereotypes and female expectations (by women and for women).
Kens are representation of incels that want to be alpha males and secretly hate females because they are friendzoned.
Barbies are perfect women representations that can't be realized in real world because men won't allowed it and thus girls grew up to be miserable.
All of this is hammered into the viewer in not so subtle way, interwoven by goofy LSD induced pink madness. In the end you are left with a message that women should toned down their expectations but not to the point of being bimbos like men want them to be. Men should be betas and fuck off.
It's badly written with plot points ending because narrator said so - literaly.
And yes all men are shown as evil, stupid or infantile.

On the plus side - Barbie Land is pretty great set.

my friend i usually go to movies with went earlier today with his two young boys.
i warned him. he said he liked the trailer and it seems like fun. didn't hear back which is usually a sign of disappointment and that i was right all along
