Fast X, the tenth film in the Fast & Furious Saga, launches the final chapters of one of cinema’s most storied and popular global franchises, now in its third decade and still going strong with the same core cast and characters as when it began.
Over many missions and against impossible odds, Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his family have outsmarted, out-nerved and outdriven every foe in their path. Now, they confront the most lethal opponent they’ve ever faced: A terrifying threat emerging from the shadows of the past who’s fueled by blood revenge, and who is determined to shatter this family and destroy everything—and everyone—that Dom loves, forever.
Anyway, last one I watched was 6 I think, that scene with the tank on the bridge was the one that made me go: "ok, I'm done". Anything worth watching after that?
It peaked with 5. Fast Five's a fun, well rounded action movie. The sequels got progressively dumber with characters conveniently coming back from the dead, everyone is somehow a super hacker who knows martial arts and Dom is apparently a T-800.
There's a fine line between 'dumb fun' and plain old dumb, and this franchise VTec'd past that line several movies ago.
"I think Call of Duty resonates because it's believable and relatable," Sledgehammer Games cofounder Michael Condrey says.
Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty
The Rock, another plastic "actor".
After all these pathetic Social media messages about how bad Diesel is and that he will never ever work again with him.
If true, he's very desperate indeed.
"I loved it when Groot said "I am Groot" and Dom said to I'm "I am Family" and that conversation lasted two hours as the two exchanged words. Truly one of the movie moments of all time."
The reviews are in for “Fast X,” the tenth film in the “Fast and Furious” franchise, and the results are about on par with the prior film “F9: The Fast Saga”.
With 104 reviews counted, the film stands at 58% (5.9/10) with decidedly mixed reviews. There’s plenty of praise for Jason Momoa’s villainous turn and the energy brought by new to the franchise helmer Louis Leterrier.
However, there’s also criticism of the film being so aware of the parody it has become and leaning into that – meaning there’s little in the way of stakes or tension.
