Perhaps this time the world won't feel so empty / sterile / uninsteresting.
That's my hope as well, however, the levels are going to be procedurally generated again so the approach will presumably be a similar one. It was the main reason the first game didn't feel remarkable to me (despite its rather decent core mechanics) - after all, it's the easiest and laziest way to artificially elongate the playing time and add a layer of replayability for couch bro-op aficionados.
i thought the procedural maps in Remnant were well put together myself, a far better attempt at replayability than just about any other AAA game i can think of. either way i had a blast on remnant, literally. i'm glad they're taking another bash with procedural generation here because personally i hate to run different characters doing the exact same scenario like most games.
if we're looking at level interactivity and destruction i can understand, but Remnant is hardly alone there anyway.
the only problem was that i didn't buy Remnant, but got it for free on epic, which i assume is what everyone else did. very expensive advertising campaign for #2 i guess the game really surprised me with how well put together it was and it felt like nobody played it even when it went free.
i'll probably grab this on day 1, assuming it's not epic dollars.
played the first one in two player coop and had a blast ( bought it too! though only once, on PS4, and used sharing)
really liked how it felt to play, the movement, the dodging, close to souls which I prefer
very much looking forward to the sequel. I think the devs are quite skilled
Likot Mosuskekim, Woodcutter cancels Sleep: Interrupted by Elephant.
First one was ok in Coop, though we never finished the last boss.
"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."
Without co-op wouldn't have finished 1st one. It was boring to play solo.
This looks visually the same.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
