The six-part drama is based on Ben Macintyre's SAS: Rogue Heroes book, which charts the creation of the famed Special Forces unit.
Cairo, 1941. David Stirling – an eccentric young officer, hospitalised after a training exercise went wrong – is bored. Convinced that traditional commando units don’t work, he creates a radical plan that flies in the face of all accepted rules of modern warfare. He fights for permission to recruit the toughest, boldest and brightest soldiers for a small undercover unit that will create mayhem behind enemy lines. More rebels than soldiers, Stirling’s team are every bit as complicated, flawed and reckless as they are astonishingly brave and heroic.
Who dares wins. The adrenaline-fuelled origins of the fearless, reckless Special Forces unit, its legend forged among the mayhem of WWII. By Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight.
On episode 4 out of 6 thusfar - phenomenal little miniseries. I'm getting Battlefield Bad Company vibes from it!
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

Great cast, good production values. I'm getting Strike Back vibes. In short, it's fuken awesome
Edit: It seems season 2 has already gotten the go-ahead.
oh ? a new season ? I just saw the first 6 episodes of se1, enjoyed it, too much cairo nonsense , to little raids, to many split offs, but damn, a lot of it actually happened and was fun to read on wiki
damn miserable bunch but damn good raids, but looks like the long range supply unit did most of the work and should get most of the credit
Great to hear it's getting a second season. Not surprised the Brits are slow as ever with their production - Sherlock springs to mind. While Hollywood can't wait to pump out more crap, with the Brits across the pond work at the pace of a tradesman that drinks tea for 5 hours out of an 8 hour day.

First two were meh, way too much Paddy. 3rd and 4th were good. Gonna watch 5th and 6th later
Which there was more budget though, can someone go around BBC with a collection box to get someone decent to do the CGI.
Finished up Season 2. It finished strong and they set it up nicely for Season 3, let's hope we get one (probably in three years time, lol).

Aye, I was great.
II Was a wee bit this then this happened.. tending to mush on the goofy side, also keeping the same characters alive felt like a strugle for the writers
