Always fun reading the low effort spam mails I'm receiving. If they only spend a minute making it look real someone might actually fall for it Smile

Quote:
Greetings, I'm Greg Berman, am 59 years old widower ... I only have few months to live due to cancer illness. I have decided to will/donate the sum of US$8,000,000 to you for the good work of the lord, children in need, the poor and to help the homeless. Respond with this Ref: SOULWINNING2020 so I will know you got this. God bless you,

It's on purpose. They don't want to waste their time on smart people. They want the idiots that don't even notice blatant errors. It's easier to milk their money tits.

Was just about to say that then read your reply.

Don't remember where I saw it, was a video about 419 scammers asking the question: These are such obviously bad scam attempts, who would fall for it?

And they pointed out that exact thing, that they don't want to weed through the smarter people by making it too believable. They want to narrow it down out of the gate to only the people naïve and gullible enough to start with to respond to the ludicrous emails believing they are real.

Some more funny ones I received Laughing

Actuvate... but then it goes on with this description:

Quote:
It's a 17-year-old boy, too frightened to wear a kippa (a religious skullcap) on the streets of Paris. It's an Israeli restaurant owner in Berlin who is told that he will end up in the gas chambers. It's a 24-year-old Austrian who knows nothing about the Holocaust. It's the armed guards outside synagogues and Jewish schools across much of Europe.

Confused

simply go to http:// and log in with your member number

Ah, the famous http:// url, that goes places.

Oh dear or dear, that was the entire email. Might be useful to specify what you're spamming about.

Same, the only type of spam mails that I'm getting lately are the unimaginative standard ones about single milfs living nearby, extravagant vintage furniture, bitcoins, penis enlargement methods, and all that ja̶izz. I did get a curious extortion mail though which claimed that my web browser had suddenly begun to work as a remote desktop with a keylogger that gave some guy accessibility to my display, contacts, personal files and videos recorded through a hidden webcam CSI-style. I had only 24 hours to pay the ransom (€10k) but didn't make it in time Crying or Very sad

Very Happy

It was essentially the Italian variation of this one, pretty standard blatant business from the Nigerian hacking committee 2020: https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/large-email-extortion-campaign-underway-dont-panic/

The amount of spam I receive on my old gmail account (never really use it anymore) is just idiotic. It's leaked probably too many times going by HIBP.

Some more Smile

Ehm, wider I think? Not sure why you want a wild drink bowl.

For what?

to me this is the "good" kind of spam, i mean it's not even annoying since it goes directly to the spambox, which i never open.

The scams i really dislike these days are the ones on facebook and instagram, which is shops selling things which obviously doesn't exist, the price/quality doesn't make sense, it can be really nice clothing or just some random item but if you spend some time researching (reading through the comments, looking up the website) it's always fake shit, 100% scams and both FB and Instagram doesn't give a shit. One i particularly dislike is where they're trying to sell a telescope, they're using parts from a amateur review of a camera (€900 camera), i know it because i was looking into buying that camera and found this persons review.

Have you received your fund? Update me immediately.

This was the headline. No message in the body of the email at all. As I said, they are aiming for the complete idiots that are barely smart enough to log into their emails and are capable of transferring money.

I would also like to use this chance to once more say: Money tits.
