Picked up this bueaty. Schecter (favorite brand) Omen Extreme 6
Spoiler:
Curious if anyone here uses Amplitube and uses a midi stomp box to control the pedals in the amp. I read IK makes their own to specifically work with their shit but the quality is pretty bad? Not looking to spend a fortune on a board.
I currently don't use Amplitube but I'm looking around for a good amp/speaker sim for my Audio Workstation that I can use since my Line6 broke a while ago.
So no, I don't use a midi stomp box to control pedals in the amp. I wouldn't really use one to begin with since I'd sit in front of the computers to record and thus could change/tune/edit effects on the screen.
I myself use Guitar Rig 6.
But its a software daw/dac plugin for input to PC. its got FUCKLOADS of features, sounds, more pedals, cabinets, mics, effects, etc than you can shake a stick at and can stack the amps/cabinets however you want as big as you want, and chain 500 pedals if you wish.
It has midi switch support built in.
(But not sure if you prefer Amplitube for its built in track recording. Rig needs a DAW software to be used other than just a live setup)

Rocksmith adapter isnt bad, its not good but it gets the job done. Just the one we had my son used seems really fragile, it first started crackling if you wiggled it, and then just broke one day.
I use this. It is ooooold now, like 10+ years? But its been my input and my main soundcard for PC for that long with zero problems and latency is awesome I cannot tell any delay even trying to hear it from when the pick leaves the string to when I hear the note out my speakers.
I'm sure there is a newer version of it or something like it:

The KEMPER PROFILER™ is the leading-edge digital guitar amplifier and all-in-one effects processor.
Hailed as a game-changer by guitarists the world over, the PROFILER™ is the first digital guitar amp to really nail the full and dynamic sound of a guitar or bass amp. This is made possible by a radical, patented technology and concept which we call "PROFILING™".
For decades, the electric guitarist has been shackled to the tube amplifier as the only means of achieving "that sound". This magical combination is by no means ideal - the challenge to achieve a consistent sound from the practice room to the studio, and especially to the stage, continues to frustrate guitarists, just as it has since the early 1940s.
Feel like you don't have any tube amps worth PROFILING? No problem!
The PROFILER ships with hundreds of amps and Rigs pre-installed, created by professional musicians and engineers from some of the world’s top studios. In addition, you can access and explore another couple hundred Rigs that come bundled in our free Rig Manager™ software. This premier selection of factory Rigs grants you access to the rarest and finest amps on the planet.
We are constantly refining, updating and extending our free-to-use libraries by fine-tuning the existing catalog and by adding brand new, licensed content. Our goal is to allow our users to explore the full spectrum of guitar culture and heritage, which is why we have strived to create the widest range of PROFILEs in every possible genre.
It's well beyond any ordinary software solutions in quality, versatility and awesomeness. Unfortunately it costs an arm and a leg ($1500-$2000).
What do you use to connect the guitar with the pc? I'm using the Rocksmith adapter, but I'm sure there's better products around?
One of the more popular one is the Focusrite series. It's what I'm currently using. If you need something simple just get their Solo interface. I dunno what kind of used market you have around you like we have for Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace but I got my 2nd gen solo for like, 45 bucks damn near brand new.
