I would, but I barely type on the 4 discord servers I am in. Well I really only talk/type in two: Mine, and my sons and depending on if we are playing games and which people ended up in to play.
The other two are for software I use, and read more than I type unless I have a specific question for it.
I just have two modes for real time chat: Either we are talking in voice because we have something to talk about, or we are using the text channels to tell others when we will be on voice.
It's sort of like texting to me, if we have the time to have a realtime long conversation with typing, just call me or get in a voice channel 
Text chat like discord/whatever annoys me. Its like here..but if all the threads was smashed into one long one with replies from different threads leapfrogging each other in no particular order you have to read 5-6 conversations at once.
Plus I dont have a slack installed or an account (if you need one never used it).

You can use Slack from the web. What you say about concurrent conversations isn’t true because there are threads in Slack and different channels, so there is no reason to have many concurrent conversations.

I'm a lazy, procrastinating, staller. That added it to me "I should get around to it" list.
I mean I still need to clean my garage, thats on my list too since tuesday, and I'm off all this week and havent done it.
