...but why? This remake shit really baffles me in cases like this, the derpstation 4 remake looked pretty ok.
Well, it's a fairly easy way for sony/ND to make guaranteed money I guess.
EDIT: Also 70 buckarinos on the derpstation 5
Thanks for supporting my free PC ports, sony sisters

I'm definitely curious to see what the fuss is all about, don't expect much from the cinegameplay but hopefully, the worldbuilding and atmosphere will be worthwhile.
It's interesting though that the only two PS games that I genuinely wanted to get ported (Bloodborne and The Last Guardian) are also the ones that seem to be dodging PC-related leaks like ninjas. There can be only one
Im a bit disappointed that it looks so much like The Last of Us Remastered on PS4.
I think a lot of people will be pleased about them staying so close to the original though.
Still a day one purchase on PS5 for sure
i found the first one to be nothing special per se, but Part II was spectacular in my book
1st showed naughty dog can actually make a competent game that isn't a dudebro awesome button mash with weak ai. To me it was the naughty dog game. Unchartereds were just pretty visuals with supbar gameplay. Last of Us slowed it down to a halt and showed that naughty dog can do more than just pretty visuals with awesome buttons.
Remaking 1, might ruin it though. Hoping it's a cosmetic remake and not a gameplay remake. Though if they do add the shit they showed at e3 and later removed due to difficulty issues, I'll be excited. And if they make Elle ghost actually be noticed by bad guys when she's running about while you hide and sneak, then I'll be extra excited. That was my only issue with the game.
Haven't played 2. But will one day.
Trailer play button didn't load on this pixel 5
Watched it. Still get excited to play it again. \o/

I mean it's actually a pretty substantial upgrade from a technical point of view since all cutscenes (which means most of the game in TLOU 1's case) where prerendered cgi movies in the old version and they are now actual real time ingame cutscenes in this remake.
I guess it's pretty clear most people didn't even notice they where watching a movie for most of the game but still it's not exactly fair to compare prerendered cgi to realtime 3D graphics.
Wonder if upcoming Director's Cut of II will come to PC too then.. i mean makes little sense to only release the first. I also wonder if the DLC is included, it's pretty good. Considering it's coming pretty soon it's disappointing that the details still are very vague. Edit: aha, the DLC is included..
PS5 is less and less interesting, still no way of knowing what the future will hold, especially when it comes to PSVR2 so i'll keep mine.
I see the improvements more with the comparison shots
Yes but again this is comparing prerendered cgi footage (remaster) with realtime 3D graphics (remake)
Ok I see what you mean and I must have been one of the many who thought they were watching a movie for most of the game then
Well to be fair they used in engine like assets for their prerendered cutscenes and completely re-rendered them for the PS4 remaster in 1080p/60 (720p/30 for PS3) so the illusion was definitely very convincing for most ppl.
The PS3 era was pretty much the renaissance of FMV games since blue ray drives suddenly made it possible to store a lot of big higher res movie files again.
