why is there a picture of F-22 on the top, with it's refueling port open?
F-35 has only 1 engine and 3 variants A/B/C with 1 of them (B) having VTOL capability (vertical take off)
@StrEagle Because the posted or this thread is looking to spam nonsense on the forum, without having any clue what the topic of his “discussion” is.
That's okay though since I moved it from Hardware (uhm.. yeah.. it was originally posted there with GPU and CPU threads below) to The Useless Void.
Technically it is hardware... but Hardware is de-facto a thread about computer hardware. Otherwise we'd post about fridges, cars, hammers, steam engines etc.
Russian jets have superior maneuverability over their 'merican counterparts.
They also have better missiles than hostile states.
But they also have a tendency to roll over because they're being maintained with repurposed chips from laundry washing machines
I have to compliment you StrEagle to notice that I posted a F22 instead of a F35. Really dunno where that came from. The picture looked good I suppose.

I can't really say much about the modern Russian fighters maneuverability vs yank fighters.. but better missiles? The best missile (currently afaik) is the Meteor missile, at least as far as Beyond-Visual-Range Air-to-Air Missile (BVRAAM) is concerned. Even the relatively small Swedish JAS-39; although the latest iteration, JAS-39 E and F is 15% bigger than previous generations and basically a new hunter/attack/surveillance fighter, higher fuel capacity, more mounting points etc. have Meteor missiles. If I remember correctly the JAS-39 was the first fighter jet in the west that was armed with the Meteor missile in 2016. It may actually still be the only jet armed with Meteor missiles. Makes sense since BAE systems (which is a joint business between UK's

Meteor offers a multi-shot capability (multiple launches against multiple targets), and has the ability to engage highly maneuverable targets, such as jets, and small targets such as UAVs and cruise missiles in a heavy electronic countermeasures (ECM) environment with a range in excess of 100 kilometres (54 nmi). A solid-fueled ramjet motor allows the missile to cruise at a speed of over Mach 4 and provides the missile with thrust and mid-course acceleration to target intercept.
According to MBDA, Meteor has three to six times the kinetic performance of current air-air missiles of its type. The key to Meteor's performance is a throttleable ducted rocket (ramjet) manufactured by Bayern-Chemie of Germany. In addition to this, the missile is also equipped wiith both proximity and impact fuses to maximise lethality and reliability.
It is truly a fire-and-forget missile that can hit even the lastest russkie jets before they're even in range to scan for enemies to get a lock.
Yup. It's the first next-gen missile, designed and built by a European multinational developer/manufacturer, MBDA: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MBDA
Meanwhile... (and don't look at that stupid thumbnail image). It's about the new Gripen E fighter (40% increased fuel capacity, 15% larger frame and fuselage, two extra mounting points, brand new radar/tracking electronics, latest electronic warfare systems etc. etc).
