Claiming to have received information from a credible source on Twitter with connections to NRS — who supposedly leaked the entire MKX roster on his personal website back in February 2015 — Righteoushall04 notes that MK11 is planned to have a roster of 30 characters, with 10 additional fighters planned to be DLC. This would make the game’s cast slightly larger than Injustice 2‘s roster once it receives all three full Fighter Packs, continuing a company trend of increasing roster sizes with each new game. Of these 30 Kombatants, 17 will be returning from MKXL, 7 will be returning from previous games (with 6 of those being from the old 3D-era titles), and the final 6 will be new challengers.

Could be fake, so take it with a shovel of salt, but no reason not to trust it. MK11 by this point is a given.

What does tag mean? Have swappable multiple characters in one match? MK9 had those, but I don't think they were there for MKX, I never liked those to be honest.
I don't think it's the base roster, it's just characters that the guy saw artwork for. The whole thing supposedly has 30 characters plus additional 10 planned for dlc.
I haven't played this in a while, but happend to the past base roster with the likes of Liu Kang, Scorpion, Sub Zero and Kitana?
They're probably on turn to be dead again for this game. Just about everybody had a moment like that in 9 and 10 but they got better.

Yeah, and I enjoyed it in MK9. I unfortunately haven't played much of MKX by the time they fixed it on PC I lost interest. And still haven't bought injustice 2. But with the launch of TMNT DLC I might pick it up.
