I am planning to get new earbuds, I am torn between Jabra elite pro 7 to Sony WF-1000XM4.
Which you would recommend? thanks.

I'm using Sony WF-XB700B and I'm very happy with them. Though, setting them up was a pain in the ass.

Haven't tested either of these, but they both received very good reviews, especially the 1000xm4. I have the wh1000xm3 and their noice cancelling was fantastic. Do you need anc? If not, would you also consider using a cheaper alternative like the xiaomi true wireless 2? Or the redmi buds 3 with anc?

I Decided to go with Jabra elite 7 pro, The sony is better sound wise, but the gap in genral isn't that big to justify the price gap and Jabra have features that are better than Sony, also I got nice discount.

im no expert, but is anc really needed with those kind of sealed earbuds? i mean if i put them in my ear, i pretty much can't hear anything around me anyway, when music is playing nothing at all.
on normal apple earbuds (not pro) it would help for sure, since those are not in the ear canal.
at first i had the xiaomi wireless earbuds basic 2 for 10 euros and for that price they were fantastic, with some better buttons/touch and better software and smaller case, even 50 euros would be a great price for those. the sound was really good. still i wanted something better so i bought the samsung galaxy buds+ for 80 euros on sale last year and for me they are just fine, can't imagine that something for 120 euros more would sound that much better, so the money would be justifed.
but like i said im no expert and except for those 2 i never tried others.
don't get me wrong, i don't want to recommend my cheap earbuds, or talk your choice down, just want to know if anc really makes such a big difference and if it justifies paying over 120 euros more for it.
other then that, the jabra got a really bad rating at amazon, for that reason alone i wouldn't buy them

Jabra's products are actually getting good reviews on amazon, people are more pissed off about the lack of multipoint support on the Elite pro 7 tough , which will be fixed soon by FW's update.

I use Sony WF-1000XM4 and am generally happy with them, except that when its raining, sometimes the touch buttons get pressed at the same time and trigger bluetooth pairing, stopping playback.

Yea, this is the one of reasons I got Jabra over Sony's.
While Sony definitely have better ANC and sound quality for music they are less stable controls wise cuz the touch controls, also the recording quality is better on Jabra and multipoint support coming soon while its uncertain on the Sony.
My Elite 7 pro just came yesterday, don't know why some people are saying the ANC isn't noticeable , they blocked birds and cars sounds just fine.
Ultimately, there is no perfect earbuds, and any earbuds you buy have disadvantage over the others and it's up to you to decide what you are preferring, I could fully understand people choosing the Sony over the Jabra, I almost got Sony myself.

Apparently, the new FW update for Jabra not only added multipoint support, also improved a lot it's ANC.
