Demons, vampires and witches are all hiding in plain sight in the upcoming Sky fantasy drama A Discovery of Witches, the television series adaptation of Deborah Harkness’ fantasy trilogy.
The TV show tells the story of Diana Bishop (Teresa Palmer), an Oxford professor and reluctant witch who stumbles upon an enchanted manuscript and is thrust into a magical world unlike any she’s known. Together with a handsome, century-old vampire named Matthew Clairmont (Matthew Goode- Stoker, Downton Abbey, The Imitation Game,Match Point), Diana sets out to discover the manuscript’s secrets.
I haven't read the books, so I have no idea if the source material is any good
I like vampires, I really like Matthew Goode, so I'll definitely check it out when it gets released. Maybe it won't suck like most modern vampire shows. (vampire diaries, originals, dracula and shit), but I always expect the worst
