Take control of the National Nightly News as a radical government comes to power. In this immersive, high-pressure, propaganda sim, you control what the people see and determine what’s Not For Broadcast.
Basically, a Paper Please'esque take on running the broadcast controls of a state owned TV station - but instead of fugly "pixel art" you get real "actors" in FMV sequences. You can play the short 20 minute demo/prologue here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1201400/Not_For_Broadcast_Prologue/
I had a blast and am looking forward to the full thing, though with the "Early Access" tag, who knows when the hell that'll be.
Oh boy, it's one of those "live-action" games. Don't remember any good one in this genre (maybe "Her Story"?) but they are perhaps much cheaper to make than drawing graphics.

I loved the cheesy FMV games in the late 90s (Spycraft: The Great Game for example). Here it fits perfectly, seeing as how it's an actual TV broadcast. That said, the game itself is probably going to end up being pretty short - depending on how much footage they end up recording.
However, I fully expect by the end of it all to be treated to a hilarious and disastrous unraveling of it all. We'll see.

Grabbed this in EA as I ended up getting a 40% off coupon. The first three broadcasts are playable (about 2 or 3 hours of content) - and boy is that content fucking crazy....
Spoiler:
Everything from a gimp escaping out of the closet of the police commissioner while he's being interviewed on morality, to an ex-convict having strippers show up to celebrate!
Also worthy of note - there's a substory that plays out between you, your family, and the government that will presumably play out differently based on your choices during the broadcast and during those substory bits. There's also money that's awarded based on rating and can be used to buy various upgrades (both useful and cosmetic).
For ten bucks, this was a steal - I hope it does well so they can make a ton of more segments.
This game looks really good.
But EA will spoil everything, I think, as I'm not sure about replayability.
The numbers don't decide, the system is a lie. The river running dry, the wings of butterflies.
And you may pour us away like soup. Like we're pretty broken flowers.
We'll take back what is ours. One day at a time.
Nice, if the full game is anything like the demo, it's going to be an instant classic
