I have a 150mbit line and an older fritzbox 7360

If connected straight from modem to my pc i get 140mbit in a speedtest, using the same cable i would plug into the router

if i connect, tested with 3 diff cables, to router on 3 diff ports, i get only 40mbit everytime

wtf is going on. How do i bump it to at least 100?

turning off my phone wifi didnt change anything, will try turning off the router wifi to see if that vchanges anything but that would defeat the point of the wifi part router that i need for phone n laptop...

laptop was off and not connected

and this is only recently as i always remember downloading at 12+ megabytes a second in steam on same router , which is 100mbit right?

is green mode activated for the ports in the fritz settings? but even then it should be 100 mbits i think and not 40.

did you reset the router?

resetted, restarted, updated os n unplugged

havent checked power management

OMFG turning port1 from power mode 1 gigabit to 100mbit green mode jumped my speed from 40 to 95 mbit WTF!!!! (was the only one set to 1gbit)

jitter went from 3 ms to 1 ... wtf is this shit ? and why didnt it jump to 90 when i had all 4 ports used with different cables to rule out a bad cable cause only 2 ports are 1 gbit, rest was 100mbit

and guess this , ii now turned both ports to 1 gbit ports to full power and now im getting 140 mbit .... fucking weird shit man, before only the first port was 1 gigbit

but now i have tripple speed Very Happy thanks

ooohhhhh , i see now that my modem was connected to port1 and my pc to port 2 (wich was set to 100mbit) , so i was limiting them in a way but still, goofy results, but fuck green mode, FULL POWER baby Very Happy solved sorta yay , still missing 10mbit somewhere but what the heck 100 gained

"FULL POWER"? You've got a 150mbit line and max out at 95? You need a better router dude or learn how to properly set up your router (alternatively flash an alternative open source router OS).
