Hello guys,

I´ve been ripping some DVD to DiVX and got the hand of it to make very high quality DVDRips. I noticed that every new release comes in XViD. Is XViD better then DiVX? What do you pros suggest I use?

I would go with XviD. Its free, fast, and leaves you with excellent looking rips...

Programs:
Dvd2Avi(for project files)
AvsEdit
Avs(of course)
VirtualDub
AviMux

My advice is to not use xvid cause people in the scene use it... do the benchmarx and take whatever works best for you.

but yeah, my choice would be xvid.

i'd choose xvid too

jesus christ was a gangsta rapper. they killed him. he came back and made a platinum album.

with xvid you have with the same bitrate better quality because of the better bitrate distribution.

and the new xvid codecs are very very very easy to use; so it should do the trick Smile
