The year is 1274. Samurai warriors are the legendary defenders of Japan — until the fearsome Mongol Empire invades the island of Tsushima, wreaking havoc and conquering the local population. As one of the last surviving samurai, you rise from the ashes to fight back. But, honorable tactics won’t lead you to victory. You must move beyond your samurai traditions to forge a new way of fighting — the way of the Ghost — as you wage an unconventional war for the freedom of Japan.
Ghost of Tsushima, an open-world game set during the era of the samurai in feudal Japan, is coming exclusively to PlayStation 4.

I don’t smoke tobacco or otherwise and I’m also puzzled by the animation criticisms.

It just looks a little stiff to me during combat and a little weird in a scene or two. Like, for example, when he first meets the chick and walks up to her, impaling the guy on the way, the character is stuck in "combat" stance until he reaches the guy on the ground - it looks super weird, considering the combat pretty much ended and he's just talking with the woman. I'm not saying it's a big deal or anything, but it jumped out at me, especially after watching TLoU2 prior to Ghost of Tshushima.
I like Infamous Second Son more than I probably should, so I am looking forward to this

Sin317-"im 31 years old and still surprised at how much shit comes out of my ass actually ..."
SteamDRM-"Call of Duty is the symbol of the true perfection in every aspect. Call of Duty games are like Mozart's/Beethoven's symphonies"
deadpoetic-"are you new to the cyberspace?"
This looks incredible. To me, it's the equivalent of a 'Last Of Us' on PS3 - squeezing every last bit of power and coding techniques out of a console at the end of its generation. Unless, as some rumours suggest, it's a PS5 game anyway.
Makes you wonder how the heck devs that build games for PS4 can suck everything out of old HW and others that develop games for super powerful PCs are lazy at it.
Waypoints in Ghost of Tsushima are non-existent. This will allow players to more realistically navigate the island of Tsushima.
You explore the island’s lush environments without the help of waypoints, choosing where to explore next using landmarks and your knowledge of the world.
Apparently, the strength of a character’s bond to Jin will be based solely on player-choice. If disagreements get too heated, for instance, Jin and a former ally may end up trading blows.
Mongol-occupied castles can be infiltrated either stealthily or with a full-on action approach. Myriad tools, such as grappling hooks, sticky arrows, etc., will allow Jin to enter and exit these areas undetected if a player so chooses.
Throughout the adventure, on-screen titles will inform players of how much time has passed since the invasion. In addition, it seems story and time will pass, too, as the player explores the open-world.
Ghost of Tsushima remains on track to release this summer on June 26th.
