Anyone playing? Seems like user reviews are really mixed, either 0/5 or 5/5's.. Some people seem to think it's just insanely hard + bad controls..

Bought it anyways since it was cheap and i can sell it for pretty much the same if i hate it, should get it this week sometime..

Looks really good, at least in this video:

Looks terrible. Those SSR reflection artifcats are retarded, regardless of what Twat Sweeney says on Twitter, and have been retarded on all their UE games. Other than that, Ride 4 is a microtransaction grindfest, much worse than their previous games. Other than the shitty graphics, Ride 3 was OK. Less simulation than MotoGP, but still enjoyable. It drives the same in 4, but damn, the grind is real. Yuck

Game has pointy elbows. 1/10 would not bang?

No matter how hot a girl's body is, if the face is covered with moles, he elbows are pointy.

No matter how good other aspects look, these SSR artifacts are like fingers poking me in my eyes, sorry. Aren't we in a "ray" "tracing" revolution?

No we are in a consumer grade ray tracing infancy, its born but it hasn't even learned to crawl well yet.

The absurd is, we had better reflections years ago. But those morons abandoned their own engine and brought in UE4, which is obviously not suited for racing. Reflection in racing is relatively inexpensive, because the surfaces are flat and at a convenient angle. Now UE4 has introduced planar reflections, for exactly the same purpose, but these clowns are either using a very old UE4 engine, or just too lazy to touch their engine that they set up years ago and haven't touched since. Or both.

So don't know why you had to mock my opinion. It really looks ugly to me. The screen-space hacks of this generation are disgusting to me.

Every game in existence has its problems graphically, I'd gladly take those graphics over 99% of what's out there currently... no idea what's problematic with the reflections Laughing

it's easy to say something is ugly and not mention what's better.. i'm very impressed with how natural the lighting looks here, totally nailed it.. not sure how good it looks in other conditions though, sunny weather is not too hard to make, seen quite a few games in recent years doing a good job with that, other weathers - not so much..

Microtransactions? what are they then? people say that about UBI soft games too, i could not care less and i've never bought any of it, not needed at all....

Been playing for a couple of hours, it's great! Tried 1h in third person then i switched to first person - much better, feels more responsive too. Definitely takes time to get even reasonable gud though Laughing

Expect the first races to feel like you want to take out the disc and throw it in the trash, that will change Very Happy

Fair enough , just seen that video all over the place last week or so. Thought it was pretty lame that an old average PC game was getting hype because it was on PS5.

i don't think the clip is getting attention because it's on ps5, its just that people like the graphics in that clip, and it does look pretty realistic.. like i did suspect the weather condition and its lighting is what they've totally nailed here, other weathers looks like any other modern game really, nothing to see there really...
