running windows xp pro, no idea what happend, the taskbar is completley gone, it only shows up in safe mode, has anything like this ever happend to anyone?

hmm have you tried openeing task manager > new task and typing explorer.exe ? sounds like u have some kinda spyware or somethin overriding it.

tried that, definatly some wierd stuff going on, did spyware and virus scans, very wierd I tell yah!

Just for sake of arguement, did you go to the bottom of the screen and drag the taskbar back up?
I've accidently moved the taskbar below the screen edge several times before.
It's great for hiding when the boss comes around.
