So want to buy a PSN wallet card as a gift for somone. However the person created an USA account in the USA, and moved to europe.
Whenever the person visits the store the local EU prices are there, not the US ones.
Sooo, which Wallett card should be applicable to the person? USA or EU?

Oh and if it's not a common knowledge then... You can create both US or EU or JP for that matter, everywhere... you don't have to live is the US to make a US account. So he can make both EU and US accounts no problem.

I really don't want him to be forced to create a different account becasue i bought the wrong PSN walllet gift card.
He has an USA account but now after moving to EU, when he logs in he is no longer shown the US products (with US pricing) but the EU prices.
So this makes me confused. If he has an USA account no matter where he is located, only an USA wallet card will work, right?
Or does the physical location (based on your ip) takes precedence?
(so that you created a USA account but if it detects your ip is a non-us one it will force you to EU region?)
Thanks!

I can only tell you form my experience.. i have both US and UK accounts, and ofc both show the corresponding price, US account= USD store, and UK account= GBP in store.
You better wait for other replies that might add some light.
Edit: maybe something changed on his main account?

Adebisi is right, though. There is no region lock on any of the stores, you can access all of them from any country, with the only requirement being that your account is locked to one region. So if he has a US account, he can use the US store. If he cannot access the US store anymore that means he made a new PSN account for EU then.

If your friend uses the pc store it is possible it is rediriecting to the wrong site.
Have him log with his US account (or just have him plug his console) and it will show Us prices.

If he's on the console, he'll need to login with his US account to access the US store and then redeem the US top-up cards you're sending him.
If he's on the web browser on PC, then he needs to access the US store to make/redeem any purchases.
Here's the link: https://store.playstation.com/#!/en-us/home/games
If it re-directs him to the EU store, just ask him to remove the en-EU (or the respective country abbreviation) from the web address and change it back to en-US.
