This game has the same problem as the movies:
1. Marvel simply sucks and was never any good. (ever)
2. Everything is so overdone, it is simply generic. Same as Marvel action scenes. Simply so, so overdone (no physicality to it), that it enters utter boredom territory.
I did like the Avengers campaign so I think this could be okay but not as a $60 game. I guess they learned from Avengers and probably trashed the co-op and multiplayer parts of the game after Avengers came out when they realized they could not do either properly.
Can't begin to imagine how much money they spent getting these mcu licenses. Money well spent, mens
Seeing how everything is shitted with Star Wars (tm) from toys to toilet paper I would say Disney just throws them away for a dollar. As long as no one resembles the actors they are probably cheap-o.

Why does it look so bad? The faces are horrible. Kind of reminds me of Fallout 3 era of games, just more colorful. A indie developer can do tons better and with ~1% of the budget these guys have.

A lot of the character faces in Avengers were terrible too. I can understand not wanting to use the movie actor likeness so they can avoid paying for that but just make a realistic comic book look. It almost feels like they are making these random faces just so they can feel they are contributing new looks for the characters so they can just say they had a part in Marvel history.

Looks nothing special to me? The new Ratchet & Clank on PS5 looks better, but both are very colorful games that you can do a great looking trailer with, take the best set pieces, best angles etc and they will look great. In-game it's not as amazing.
It's better than Avengers though, some of the art design is cool here. It looks a little empty too, the vibe i often got from Avengers (looking at videos, didn't play it).
Flora is usually 1 type of grass in one color. I get an almost NMS vibe, it can look similarly lacking in finer detail.
