Everyones tried the Street Legal series made by Invictus.

Now they want to make a new, with the help of kickstarter.

I know I'll pay as soon as it's possible.
I still play SLRR from time to time.

I hate you.

The KS campaign is starting on 18th. And according to the guy from the vid

"Final price of the game during the KS campaign is super low, pennies. The early access beta and alpha versions are a little more. "

I doubt there will be licensed cars.
A BMW is shown in the video, but thats just showcase.
SLRR also had BMW, but with some changes so it doesnt look 100% like it..

Mmmm... if you say so, I don't think you have played both games. Mechanic Simulator is much more restrictive in what can you do than SLR, where you can create a car from scratch, swap parts with other cars and tune everything.

By the way, Squirrel has a video of the project with developer interview:

MB: ASRock 970 Extreme3 R2.0 | CPU: AMD FX-6300 @4.0Ghz | RAM: Kingston HyperX® Fury 2x4GB DDR3 1866MHz | GPU: Sapphire Radeon R380X Nitro Dual-X OC 4GB GDDR5
Display: ASUS VS228H | OS: Windows 10 x64 | Controller: Logitech Gamepad F310 / Logitech Driving Force™ Pro

LOL comparing Car Mechanics sim to Street legal

You can compare it to Gearhead Garage but not Street Legal, in Street Legal you could go nuts doing crazy engines, Supercharge them, Turbo them, then you race them and see the power results, fking cars doing wheelies.

Amazing for its time. Sad to see this kickstarter being dying Sad

so i should compare it to NFS UNDERGROUND 1 and 2 ... before this game became shit and EA killed the series

In street legal you worked as a mechanic for a while... then it went overhauling mode and then street racing mode, where you finally just build crazy cars with modded engines putting parts and settings in it to get more power and win street races for money for more parts and other chassis. Car Mechanic on the other hand missed its chance to expand the gameplay

SL was pretty interesting. Sadly noone has ever take that theme again (some guys are making a Car Making/Tycoon game, called Automation, but so far its just building cars and tycoon gameplay http://www.automationgame.com/, they do have an interesting Engine Building thing)
