Likewise, Dark definitely was one of the most pleasant surprises of the past few years. Ultimately it did look at itself in the mirror a bit too much for my tastes, but it's rare to find a modern show that delivers competent writing, acting, music and a good dose of mystery on top of it without turning such a peculiar concept into a corny derp-o-rama. Fingers crossed for this new project to replicate the previous one
Dark had one of the most poignant and satisfying endings of any series that I've seen. It's not often that an ending is that and not shrouded with ambiguity. Really looking forward to this.

Yep, ending was surprisingly decent, given 3rd seasons overcomplicated middle episodes. I expected them to pull a Lost but thankfully they kept it relatively simple in the finale.
3 episodes in. My guess it's a simulation, a ptsd therapy.

this is a weird thing about encoding. you often have HDR rips with lower bitrate than "identical" SDR rips (despite both being HEVC/h265) ultimately resulting in a smaller filesize
i have tried looking into it but haven't really found a satisfactory answer
The source has virtually no grain at all and there many bokeh shots throughout so it's highly compressible. Still, bitrates are quite low for this one as Netflix usually streams 1080p at around 5 Mbit/sec, no matter if it's grainy or not. Perhaps they want to save bandwidth with this one.
