Cheers appreciate it, yep static may be the wrong word (i was initially thinking something like pelican / hugu would make sense). Ideally i just want pro looking html, css and would be happy to author content via markdown i dont need think i need full cms. Will check out your partner though.

So i lost a year due to Covid. I gave webflow and few a other CMS's a try and agree they are awesome platforms and top recommendations. That said, im no front-end and or design god, i tried skilling up a bit on CSS, using color pallette and gradient tools but it just comes up a bit shit.
Honestly i dont understand front-end developers.. CSS is a total abomination to me built for masochism, 163 ways to do the same thing, and 162 of those don't render properly in one or another scenario. Which then leads me to think all these pixel pushers just trial and error random shit until it works (thats what i did).
Where would you go from here? if talking in USD, would you expect a professional looking 2020 fitting simple site for a consultancy achievable at about 4K (is that overkill?). I can reachout to grad's etc and juniors too, but I'm worried they may come up short and having to pay for something poor.
I have to convince another person of the design as well, I feel there is some psycological issue here too (what can you expect from a hobbyist fucking around). Iif i pay someone, are they just going to sign up to webflow, use a color scheme generator and charge me $4K?
Anyone share some experiences?

git gud noob
I could write a shitty 3d shooter with pure js and css without even needing to use a canvas or webgl, that's how flexible that shit is <3

While Javascript frameworks and big css stuff can be slow and cumbersome to load, 70mb sounds more like an issue with a lot of media being loaded
