The NINJA GAIDEN: Master Collection brings the entire Sigma series to PC, allowing fans and newcomers alike to experience the tale of “super ninja” Ryu Hayabusa as he battles deadly fiends causing chaos around the world.
NINJA GAIDEN Sigma, originally released in 2007, set the standard of high-speed action for the series – introducing dual-wielding weapons, and a Mission Mode alongside its gripping Story Mode.
NINJA GAIDEN Sigma 2, originally released in 2009, continued Hayabusa’s journey alongside characters Ayane, Rachel, and Momiji, with four difficulty levels testing player’s battle techniques with every heart-stopping fight.
The latest entry, NINJA GAIDEN 3: Razor’s Edge, originally released in 2012, upped the challenge with powerful new enemies and fiercely violent depictions, as well as bringing Kasumi into the action, making it the series’ most alluring white-knuckle experience to date.
Yosuke Hayashi, Chief Head of Team NINJA, said:
“NINJA GAIDEN is one of the most important and monumental titles for the Team NINJA brand, but we haven’t been able to release the series title on current generation platforms, so I am very delighted to be able to release it in this format as a trilogy. If you enjoy challenging action games, we hope you will give it a try.”
Fumihiko Yasuda, Head of Team NINJA, added:
“NINJA GAIDEN is the origin of Team NINJA’s action games, and I hope that not only fans of the series, but also fans of the Nioh series will play these games. I hope that the day will come soon when I can provide information about the next game in the NINJA GAIDEN series, which I’ve been continuously saying that I want to develop, but until then, please play as the ‘super ninja’ Ryu Hayabusa in the NINJA GAIDEN: Master Collection.”
Seems that the japanese are rushing to port a lot of their oldies on PC. Only Nintendo continues its exclusvity policy. Even Sony will bring some of their titles on PC...
was wondering when would this series come to pc, i think its the only games i wanted to play on ps3 but never got to, i remembered these after i sold the console. tried first one with emulator but sucked without controller as its a little hard already even with the controller. the sound is a little dated

Spin off as it's protagonist is a baddie...That's what i think
Never got able to play much of it. Either bad performance/PC i had back then or crashes.
Also i've heard that this version is censored in some way?..

Good. I played the original NG2 on Xbox 360 and it was awesome.
Tho i understand that the Sigma versions might be less good, for some insane reason they changed the blood to purple or pink mist and afair it looked ridiculous, maybe mods on PC will remove this nonsense, also another changes like less enemies but i never played the Sigma games so i can't say how good they are but nice to revisit these games again.
Based on the inferior PS3 versions. They really managed to lose the source code to one of the most important games, if not the most important game on the original Xbox, NG:B. (Obviously the best action-adventure hack & slash ever made.)
Hurricane Packs 1 & 2 (the DLC for the original version of the game and not Black) were also unplayable when XBL shut down for the original Xbox until I found a way to get it running again, if anyone even gives a shit: http://www.ngrealm.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1735
They really are showing an incredible amount of disregard for their own work.

To do so, launch the game, and then click the maximize icon in the upper-right of the title bar. To return to Windowed mode, press the Esc key while in Fullscreen mode
It seems like that the games being hard as fuck was not enough, they are trying to make even simple things as resolution and full screen tough

If you're using a yarr release, just create a shortcut and put the same combination at "Target", I would guess.

Thanks for the answer, i should have clarified a little better.
I have the Yarr version - and I did exactly as you described, but it's definitely not going to 4k
if you use -4k in the yarr version and it still looks like a jaggy mess then it is your Dpi settings messing with this half assed port. To fix, right click shortcut choose compatibility, then put a check next to "disable fullscreen optimizations" then click the "Change high dpi settings" box and in it put a check next to "Override high dpi scaling by application"
That's what worked for me anyway. Game still starts windowed but double clicking the border solves that. This really is one of the laziest ports I've seen in years. The input lag in the first game is just atrocious. It's a real shame as this series is one of my favorite. I spent countless hours back in the day playing Ninja Gaiden Black and II on Xbox. Hopefully modders can solve some of the issues as I doubt the company ever will.

started playing this and so far its good, surprised it still holds up, some parts are a little bit dated but the combat holds it together. feels nice to play something with old school feel. the tits physx is ridiculous though
been using rewasd for controller emulator and have no problems
finished them all. 1 felt more like that classic xbox360/ps3 era, gameplay more tactical, puzzles.
2 was like a big upgrade over 1, combat was much faster, more action oriented and more streamlined but lost that enviroment which it was much better done in 1. 1 was more grounded which i liked more where in 2 everything was turned up to 11, the devs probably smoked some crack.
3 was even more faster paced and is even more streamlined than 2. was not that bad as people said, probably liked it more than 2. some big moments were like straight from god of war lol. story still nuts but dialed down from 2, fewer demons to fight where in 2 they become tiersome, more enemies on screen and added gore and dismemberment which 2 sigma dosent have, at least at this level. you fucking cut the legs on the enemy and they still crawl to you to stab u lmao how the fuck no game copied this thing.
all in all good games even for today if u like hack and slash the combat still holds.
