So what are all of you using to stream 4k to your telly?
Im using plex for my movie library, but for some reason it has problem with files bigger than 40gb when streaming (using wifi6 1200mbit transfer).
I thought it might be the harddrive so i change to a fast m2. drive but still the same problem, so I guess its the coding or what ever. I can run the movie fine on my pc.

I could get a long hmdi cable with 4k capability, but id rather use software. My telly is a samsung so its android apps i use.

shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.

I just use a Roku TV and a synology NAS on the network over wifi.

But I don't use any fancy GUI interface or middleman software. Just all the movies in folders on the NAS like A-F,G-L..etc. with the NAS's media server package so the TV can see it as a source.

Just old regular Kodi running on shield, streaming from PC ssd. Works well, zero problems over 1gbit wired network no matter what quality I throw at it.

I have been using Mezzmo for years but it can be a little problematic here and there. About three months ago I moved over to Universal Media Server. Seems good and not missed a heartbeat yet.

I know this is not an answer to your thread title but just wanted to say that it could be your TV doesn't have better networking speeds.
I know a lot of Samsung QLED models only have 100mbit ethernet ports.
That said though, I know you're using WiFi but maybe it's slow as well (on the TV)? No idea what their WiFi connection is capable of so maybe not.

I probably should see if i can find info on that. You are right Smile

Ive got 1200mbit wifi - but as you said, it might be the telly (its last years model, but who knows?)
