I recently realized that all the cds i have i dont have an easy way to play them anymore as my last sony discman has given up and only spins up briefly doesnt read the cd and spins down again. What tools and audioformats to people use these days to digitalize their cds ? Preferably so it has trackname and artist included , preferably all in just a few clicks n free I havent done mp3 stuff since 2005 No i dont do spotify or any of this online stuff

Built in WMP will do it, as it always has, just grab a cheap external drive, which are peanuts now, literally, but in all honesty, lol, for the peanuts the drive will cost, say $10?, or a free trial of Spotify for fuck all, then grab all u can in that period Cancel thereafter. I did this a long time ago, depending on the size of physical collection you may want to buy or borrow some additional CD/DVD drives. Myself and friends just pooled 3-4 drives together and passed them around. Exact Audio Copy -> Rip to lossless flac, take your time and run the drives slowly for scratched as shit CD's. https://captainrookie.com/how-to-rip-a-cd-to-lossless-flac-using-exact-audio-copy/ Or as @scaramonga said, if you dont care if the format is compressed as shit AAC/WMP durr, streamed over the internet, output from iphone to bluetooth airhurr's just use spotify or google music. They have a limited backlog your welcome to pay monthly forever for the stuff you already purchased.

but thats like 44 megs per song isnt it ? guess il dust off some of my plextor drives and how to catalgoue it ? so it knows artist and songname from the file? https://www.techradar.com/how-to/how-to-rip-your-cds-to-flac does that look good ? german software , germans are fucking nazis when it comes to copyright, not sure i trust

djees this gonna take forever already had to do it on laptop in another room cause so fucking loud time to unhook the 4 cd rom drives and bunch em together and scale this shit but seriously there must be some way they can see i own the original and unlock it on some online site for me pfft , this is such a burden on consumers who payed real big cash on all these cds back then heck in the UK u cant even legally rip your own cds ... forbidden by law ....
