This! I‘d probably just play the newest one if it runs well on your machine.

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

Most pretty, most polished. They are all complex games, there is no simple Anno game. But the good part is that you can take your time playing it. Nothing is rushing you.

And if a scifi setting is more to your liking, there is one for that as well.

Agreed, 1404 is the one that I loved the most, followed by 2070 and all the older ones (in random order), with 2205 securing the last spot of shame. Haven't tried 1800 yet but I've read good things about it, I'm looking forward to playing the preordered isodemo as soon as it drops.

As far as I know they're a bit of everything, essentially like complete re-releases with also compatibility issues sorted out and minor enhancements Razz

Here it is, explained better: https://anno-union.com/announcing-the-anno-history-collection/

Required Uplay at one time, but was removed Smile On Steam.

1800 is all you need, terrific game, and best of series IMO. All you need is base game, then unlock the rest with unlocker, as files are on your disk regardless Wink Well worth it Very Happy
