I do genuinely hope it's close-ish to Dead Space - the first one, the most atmospheric and survival-horror-like, I've been wanting something like that for a decade. The expectations though are set to an absolute minimum for the obvious reasons. Make us whole pls

Alien Isolation was a good game in that genre. Very Happy

Oh absolutely, it was more than good for me, it was fantastic..one of my all-time favourites. They're two different experiences, with the passive sensation of powerlessness in Isolation vs the very much active yet atmospheric dismembering sessions in Dead Space, but ultimately they do complement each other. Razz

Haha, I forgot that even in the original Dead Space, you were quite the action figure. Laughing

The gritty atmosphere and gore seem to be on point and rather reminiscent of Dead Space (the UI as well, which is already a good start), I just hope the scripted events won't be too cineguided but will retain a certain degree of freedom. Fingers crossed!

As I scroll towards the bottom I look at the post dates with ever-increasing fear of spotting "Delayed".

Hyped as fuck in 20 seconds.

December release is weird so most likely gonna be delayed to Feb/Match 2023

December is the date all publishers wants, it's the best time to release games. The only ones who should stay clear of it would be smaller games because it's a month with a lot of competition, this is a high profile game so December makes perfect sense.

December is late, oktober-november is the target.

A bad practice though, Q1 is imho best to release a game. Less competition and bad enough weather to sell games. Q4 is so packed with releases that some are easlily forgotten.

Enough bad weather? you do realize that there are places where winter here is summer in another country? The holiday in December is the best month, always has been. But yes, like i said, just for the bigger titles, smaller titles can release at any time when there's no similar genre releasing and which is more sought-after.

https://vgsales.fandom.com/wiki/Holidays#:~:text=November%20and%20December%2C%20in%20the,25%20percent%20of%20yearly%20sales.

"November and December, in the United States, is the crucial season. Together, the two months can account for nearly half of the sales for the entire year."

Yes, December is pretty much the most desired month to release big studio things, including movies. At least for the Western countries. It's the month with biggest holidays so more people will be at home potentially playing and watching stuff. Steam's user numbers always peak in from mid December to mid January too.

Wow, price went up 6 times in Argentina. I guess I need to keep my Steam wallet ready for preorders just in case. It's not like it's the first time this happened in recent months.

Not bad at all.

This looks like a "fine, i'll do it" moment, since nobody is giving us a new Dead Space.
